This article is more for those who just started a new website or those who has a old website but it never appeared in Google search result. I am going to explain to you what is SEO and how it works.
What is SEO and How It Works?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) works with your website and online marketing to provide the best search engine results. Once you know terms people type when searching for a product/service, you can decide which words to use on your site. If you are providing any service, a quick SEO word search will tell you that you should not use any random keywords as the main keyword as most people will search for a specific / non-random keyword. If someone is looking for something special, make sure your site appears in the results. The more you do SEO, the bigger chance the page will appear in the search results.
SEO is more than just getting better search engine ranking, and once you visit this site, you don’t have to ask yourself “What is SEO and how it works?” Professional Internet marketing campaigns follow a five-point path; pay-per-click, SEO, link building, conversion rate optimization, and social networking. While it may be impossible to teach all the techniques of SEO marketing strategies in one article, you should be able to get an overview by learning from the five main pillars I will be analyzing in the future.
SEO circumvents several factors that are part of mysterious search engine algorithms. Organic web optimization is the goal of all online marketing campaigns. When search engines can’t find your site, business is lost, which also means losing money. You can also get your insight into search engines by using an automatic search engine submission tool that can automatically submit the URL of your website to local an national search engines/directories. Using such tool together with web optimization can dramatically increase the amount of traffic your website receives.
So, what is SEO all about? This is a marketing strategy used to increase the ranking of the website in the search engines.
Filling Out Websites with SEO Content
Now you know what is SEO and how it works is another topic. SEO content differs from “normal” material in that, technical research and ideas are copied before it is written. Mainly keyword research is done.
What is Keyword Research and why is it important for SEO writing? The best way to explain keyword research is to give an example.
Let’s say you have a credit repair site. It provides consumers with credit risk correction services. It has a website but doesn’t receive much traffic or a lot of work. One of the things you do is write informative content and put it on your site to increase traffic. But not just informative content: SEO content.
When hiring search engine optimizer, one of the first things they do is figure out what words and phrases Internet users write to find the services they offer (credit repair, remember).
Note: The words and phrases that internet users write to find things online are called vital phrases. Remember this.
Keyword Research Tools
Keyword research tools show things like; the keywords that are written in an attempt to find a business like yours. And many times it is not what you think, this is why keyword research tools are so popular.
You know that one of the most accessible and most used keyword search tools is the Google Ads Keyword Tool.
Once they find out what these keywords are, they write a copy of these terms on your site. The is called SEO content.
And the reason it is so effective is that search engines don’t have to guess which sites might be relevant when a user types a keyword. If the copy of your site contains related keywords, search engines can quickly return your website as a consistent search result.
Long-tail keyword optimization is more direct SEO term. Let’s see, and if you are going to sell baby clothes, you know for sure when someone is looking for something extraordinary, like a “blue denim jacket for kids, size 7”, your website showing the same item in search engine results, long-tail keyword is a bit more illustrative and detailed.
How Search Engines Work
Most people know what search engines are, but they are not sure how they work. A search engine is a technology whose functional purpose is to provide search engines with the most relevant information for the search terms they use. The name “most relevant” here is crucial and distinguishes one search engine from another; how each determines the relevance and meaning of the content serving the search engines can make a big difference.
The most well-known search sites are Google, Baidu, and Yahoo!, which now control about 90% of all Internet searches. Search engines consist of three main components: The first is a group of independent agents, called robots, who act as virtual librarians that regularly search the internet for billions of pages and save what they find. Another component is the index mechanism, which stores relevant information about every page that robots encounter during the regular search. Slaves then apply unique algorithms to determine how to prioritize or rank these pages when someone searches for a particular term. The third part is the search page itself, where people go looking for an then browsing for results.
How SEO works
SEO is basically a combination of algorithms that is a “special sauce” for any search engine. By default, content categorization is not the default method, so search engine companies always compete to find better algorithms that allow them to categorize the content better that their bots wee. Here’s where optimization begins: By optimizing your site for specific search terms or keywords, you tilt your odds by making your site higher than web pages that compete for the same search terms.
Bear in mind that SEO is just an effort to improve your site’s natural or organic ranking. It does not apply to the paid methods used to drive traffic to your website, known as Search Engine Marketing or SEM.
SEO is both art and science. This is science because many of the elements that make up a search engine optimization campaign can be numerically determined and analyzed. That’s a good thing on the Internet: online activity is very measurable. On the other hand, it is artistic because there is no single formula for achieving a stable rating. Instead, someone who practices this practice should go the smart route by combining common-sense tactics with their creativity to complete with other sites for the best possible ranking.
Usually, SEO involves a combination of two things. You first need to optmize your site by paying attention to visible content, invisible content (meta tags), site structure, design and other elements. Second, you must work to create as many links as possible from other relevant high profile websites. Search engine indexing agents take this into account when determining how to place a site on a particular search.
When you utilized Google (or any other search engine to look for a term, have you at any point considered how the web pages on the first page of search results came to them when there were probably thousands of toher sits competitors that matched your search term? Well, the answer to this question is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). These first sites had better SEO than their competitors.
Some of these sites (such as Wikipedia, Facebook, and Microsoft) have reached the first page of search results without a lot of help from SEO because their brands are sufficiently well known to appear on the front page. Different sites depend on SEO to get them to the first of second page of search results. You may be wondering why SEO is so important. Users rarely go beyond the first pages of search results while scanning for a term. When was the last time you tapped on the fifteenth page of search results?
SEO can be done in many ways. The leading SEO methods (and practices) are:
- SEO Titles, Headers and URLs
- backlinking
- Write SEO content
- Use multimedia
- Regular updates
You can visit my another article talking about On-Page SEO technique. The article has more details about the SEO methods mentioned above.
Here is a practical example.
If you have a site that deals with climbing roses, I’d like to set that position so that when someone says “how to grow climbing roses” it appears on the first page of search results in the Google bar (the largest of all search engines). Of course, it would be better to take a prominent position on the page, or even first.
Why is SEO important?
It’s about traffic. By traffic, I mean visitors to your site. The more traffic, the more likely it is to make sales. To clarify this, a recent report found that the second page of Google search results had less than fifteen per cent of all clicks and that the top three positions on the first page received about sixty per cent of the clicks. The number one site receives about 35 per cent of all clicks. Strictly speaking, Google categorizes pages on individual sections rather than entire websites.
Now I know how SEO works? then How to get better ranking
No one can tell you how to get better ranking by one page as it involves both on-page SEO and off-page SEO techniques. Google’s formula or algorithm, which is continually changing to determine the relevance of a website, has been subject of much discussion. While Google reveals a great deal of information about it, its exact use is somewhat mysterious. However, you need to understand what the search engines are trying to achieve and how it can help you.
Importance: I have already used this word, and it is essential. Search engines want their customers, people watching online, to have a happy experience, which means they should be able to find something on the web that satisfies their search for information as closely as possible.
If someone writes “how to climb climbing roses” in the search bar instead of the page at the top of the page, one of the horticultural results from our previous example is that the focus above the page is specifically on growing roses for climbing.
Swim at Low Tide: I recommend that you work with search engines and do not try to play them in any way to achieve high ratings (i.e. so called “Black Hat SEO”). They hire great people and attempting to ridicule them is a policy that should not be encouraged. Black Hat strategy is not considered as an answer for how SEO works.
Make Your Website SEO Friendly: It would be impossible to undertake a complete course here, but I have covered what are probably the most important things you should keep in mind, especially you just started out.
Original: Your website should contain original and relevant information. So far, search engines can only read a copy and therefore need a lot of them, with a good focus on the topic of each page of the site. Your keyword is the subject of this page.
If you want to use our example again, the website page would have your name URL / how to grow climbing roses, the page title (H1 tag) would be yes, how to grow climbing roses and that phrase would represent 2% of the copy in that copy page.
I truly hope that I have clarified what is SEO and how it works. If you have any question, please leave a comment.
